Become a Keeper of the Wellspring: Monthly Reparative Care
In the heart of San Francisco, a city defined by extreme wealth disparities and systemic inequity, the Ancestral Wellspring Collective (AWC) is cultivating a different kind of future.
We are a healing justice initiative providing community-rooted care that centers Black women and Women of Color (BIWOC) survivors, caregivers, and community members navigating systemic inequity, burnout, and generational trauma.
We are building a tea lounge, community apothecary, gathering space and artist nest at 524 Union St to provide nourishment, herbal support, and space for creative expression.
a true, sustainable community of care cannot rely on one-time grants. It relies on us.
Why Give Monthly? Reparation as Communal Care
We invite you to become a monthly donor a ~ Wellspring Keeper ~ to turn your commitment to justice into actionable, sustained care.
Move Beyond Transactional Solidarity: Reparative justice is not a one-time gesture; it is a sustained, long-term commitment. Monthly giving allows AWC to build consistent resources that honor the dignity and longevity of BIWOC healing.
Fund the "Hidden" Costs of Healing: Monthly donations provide us with unrestricted funding. This means we can pay for fresh herbs for the apothecary, artist stipends for creative workshops, and rent for our physical space, rather than restricting funds to specific projects.
Build a Stable Future in SF: As a small, grassroots initiative in a competitive city, monthly, recurring donations allow us to plan ahead, expand our reach, and offer consistent services, reducing our reliance on traditional, unpredictable philanthropy.
Actively Reconstruct Community Care: Your monthly donation is a direct, tangible act of taking responsibility for creating a more equitable society.
